The Wagga powerhouse has been heavily criticised during the off-season, with the loss of key players leading naysayers to slam Roos’ Group Nine premiership hopes.
“If you listen to what everyone has been saying, we shouldn’t have won our first game,” Hall said.
“We are a team of no-names who over-achieved.
“But, that was never how we looked at it. We’re disappointed not to have made the final.”
Roos went down to Junee 6-4 in a semi-final.
Making Roos success all the more inspiring, the club was without front-rowers Chris Jordan and John Arentz and injured playmakers Liam Duffy and Zac Graham.
“We had two guys over 25. The young blokes really stepped up,” Hall said.
“I’m proud of them all.”
