BUSINESS In Motion set his sights on Menangle's riches after dominating his rivals to win the $10,000 Leeton Pacers Cup (2582m) on Friday night.
The speed was on all the way, but the Col Thomas-trained four-year-old was still way too good as he run away from his rivals in the straight to defeat Smo by 9.2 metres.
After an early battle for the lead by barrier five, the pressure never really relented on the $1.70 favourite.
Mediation ($79.10) and Modern Max ($2.80) both made their moves with two laps of the Lin Gordon Paceway remaining, but despite Modern Max ensuring a fast first half of 60.5 seconds Business In Motion had plenty left in the tank.
Running a last half of 58.3 seconds, driver Stephen Maguire barely moved in the sulky as they charged to the line.
Thomas was very impressed with his charge, who confirmed his plans for Menangle next week.
"They were running 30 (second) quarters, but he did it easy," Thomas said.
"Steve said he won easy."
The mile rate of 1:59.6 for the longer trip was just outside the track record of 1:59.5 set by Frosty Warrior in 2013.
The win was also Thomas' second feature race win at his home track, after taking out the MIA Breeders Plate with Bettermatch.
Thomas was more than happy to take out another race and Leeton and the entire now brings his hometrack record to a perfect five wins from five starts.
"It's pretty good, he must like the track," Thomas said.
"It is a good track."
Thomas plans to take Buiness In Motion to Menangle on Saturday for a C3-C5 race.
