GRIFFITH could boast one of the most dangerous forward lines in the Riverina League this season as it looks to return to finals for the first time in nine years.
The Swans continued their strong recruitment spree with the signing of outgoing Turvey Park coach Chris Cerato this week.
Cerato and his partner have moved to Griffith and he linked with the Swans after learning he will be in the city for longer than initially expected.
Cerato has spent recent seasons at centre-half-back, while also spending some time through the midfield, but attacking set-up at the Swans that will also feature Mick Duncan, Josh Hamilton and James Toscan.
After struggling for a dominant forward in recent years, Griffith coach Brandon Mathews now has a number of options at his disposal.
"Yeah he'll probably play up forward, we'll wait and see how it all plans out," Mathews said.
"That's probably the best part about it, he's one of those blokes that can play anywhere and be good anywhere.
"He'll be huge for us."
The arrival of Queanbeyan midfielders Will Griggs, Ben King and Sam Daniel had already prompted Mathews to plan using Duncan as a dangerous small forward this season.
Duncan, a member of Griffith's Team of the Century, has been one of the competition's premier midfielders of the past decade but is also equally as dangerous and elusive around goals.
Swans' best and fairest winner Tim Mathieson will compliment the Canberra trio, who are all settled full-time in Griffith, while Mathews will also look to use the likes of James Fallon through the middle.
The addition of assistant coaches, Tom Groves and an injury-free Che Jenkins, will help bolster Griffith's defence.
Jenkins, Mathews and ruckman Michael Griffiths are all fit and in full pre-season training after struggling with various injuries last year.
Everything is looking positive for the Swans.
"I'll be pretty disappointed if we don't do well now," Mathews said.
Griffith will hold a pre-season training camp next month and have trial games pencilled in against Coleambally and Rand-Walbundrie.
