Turnbull won the first heat of the series with Lombo Hallmark, before two more placings was just enough to claim the win.
A third on Glen Alpine drive and a second with One More Fella gave Amanda 27 points and a three point win.
Anthony Butt won two of the three races, scoring with Shes A Jackson and Sporty Spook, but it wasn't enough to catch Turnbull.
An eighth on Wamboyne Woody in the first race proved an obstacle too big to overcome.
It was the first time the New Zealand reinsman had been to Junee and was impressed with the atmosphere on the night.
"I've loved it and had a good time and having a bit of luck always helps," Butt said.
"It's a good meeting and these sort of places are the heartland of trotting."
Junee's unique track with its uphill home straight is very different to what Butt grew up on in New Zealand and smaller than the Victorian tracks he now drives on but he was more than comfortable.
"It's definitely different to what I'm used to but all the horses handled it well and there was no troubles," Butt said.
Butt chased home Turnbull in the Phyllis Harpley Memorial, with David Kennedy's Mediation finishing second to Call Me Spartacus.
