IT WILL be on for young and old as Wagga cricketers come together for a match with a difference over the Australia Day long weekend.
The teams have been named for the T20 match between featuring former Australian cricketer Nathan Bracken in Wagga on Monday.
Bracken will captain the Young Guns while St Michaels coach Jordan Lawrence will lead the All Stars.
The match is one of the features of the Destination NSW Home Ground Tour which visits Wagga tomorrow and Monday.
As the name suggestions Bracken will lead a team featuring some of Wagga's brightest young talents.
However, just because they mightn't have the same experience as their rivals doesn't mean they are without a chance, especially in the shortest form of the game
Cricket NSW development manager Luke Olsen asked Wagga clubs to nominate players for the match and has been pleasantly surprised by the quality line-ups assembled.
"They are both squads and it's been a good response," Olsen said.
"We have tried get every club represented and the higher grade players to make it a contest, and we've done that."
Despite the All Stars naming Lawrence, Kurt Robertson, Jake Hindmarsh and Sam Perry in their squad Olsen expects the Young Guns to give their more senior rivals are shake.
"They will be right as the All Stars have some top-line players, but the Young Guns have Brayden Ambler who has played O'Farrell Cup, Fraser Noack is a good bowler," Olsen said.
"The Young Guns are pretty strong across the board and I think they will be ok and have a fair crack."
The T20 match is just one of the aspect of the tour which features plenty of fun for the kids, a travelling museum and will broadcast the one-day international between Australia and India on Monday.
