COOLAMON coach Matt Hard will juggle club duties with representative football after agreeing to lead Riverina Football League for a second year.
Hard guided RFL to an 108-point thumping of Picola South earlier this year and has agreed to coach the league's representative team for a second time despite returning to the top job at Coolamon.
Hard will be the first club coach to do the RFL job since Christen McPherson and Daniel Rankin shared the duties in 2009.
Hard took over from Troy Maiden last year and explained that he always wanted more than one year as RFL representative coach.
"When I agreed to take it on the plan was always to do it for a couple of years," Hard said.
"Troy Maiden did a good job before me and I want to try to continue that as well as put my footprint on it.
"I want to push our league forward in this new format, my support staff were keen to go again so it was a pretty easy decision in the end."
Hard acknowledges it may be at times difficult to juggle the Coolamon and RFL coaching jobs.
"I'll have two different hats," he said.
"I can't coach Coolamon with my RFL hat on, and vice versa, that's the most important thing.
"I'll rely heavily on my selectors and I'll be talking to coaches, I've got a good enough rapport with them after working with them this year.
"I can't see any reason why it won't work."
Brad Aiken, Shaun Brooker and Pat Edmonds will again support Hard in the role.
Brooker is also the man RFL president Rob Ash wants to coach the league's under 17 representative team.
RFL has taken a professional approach to representative football in recent times and Hard wants that to continue.
"It's great to have the support of the players, as well as the coaches and the league," he said.
"The clubs and the league's point of view are all going in the same direction, which helps.
"We're trying to pump it up and push it forward.
"It will be interesting times ahead but I'm up for the challenge.
"I'm looking forward to working with the best players in the league."
RFL will take on Tallangatta League at Robertson Oval on May 23 as part of a representative football double header in Wagga.
