Police said the assault occurred on December 14 on Banna Avenue in the early hours of the morning.
It ended in a Griffith man suffering a fractured jaw, which required specialist surgery in Canberra.
Two men, aged 26 and 28, were arrested on Friday and charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Police have seized their passports ahead of an appearance at Griffith Local Court next month. Both men were released on conditional bail.
Griffith police Inspector Tony Reneker described the alleged actions of the men as "cowardly".
Inspector Reneker thanked witnesses for coming forward with information.
"This is a good example of the police working closely with the community to bring about a resolution to a nasty incident," he said.
