SOUTH Wagga are out to keep the momentum from their outright victory going taking on Wagga RSL on Saturday.
The Bulldogs claimed a narrow victory when the two teams met, but getting one back isn't on the mind of Blues captain-coach Joel Robinson.
Despite the scorecard reading a seven-run loss, in changed conditions Robinson believes his team played the better cricket.
"We got a bit of the raw end of the deal there with the conditions, but it was half our fault as well," Robinson said.
"We won the toss and bowled on a pretty good wicket and then turned around next week and got a wet one (wicket).
"I think we were in front in the game, obviously we didn't get the result but were pretty unlucky and go into this game pretty confident."
A win would ensure the Blues keep in contact with the top two teams, while Wagga RSL are battling with Lake Albert to remain in the top four.
Undefeated in its first four matches, the Bulldogs have struggled in the last two rounds.
Suffering big losses to Kooringal and Lake Albert in the last month, Robinson believes the form slump will only make Wagga RSL work harder.
"They have three or four players that have been around for awhile and can take the game on themselves so I don't think it's going to be a walkover for either side," Robinson said.
"It's still going to be tough and hopefully with the confidence from last week we can get on a roll."
The Blues had made two changes with Grant Forrest and Jeremy Rowe unavailable.
Mick Mattingly returns for his second match of the season and Robinson is also giving youngster Blake Harper his first taste in the top grade.
"Mick has still been training, but obviously Foz (Forrest) has been one of our more consistent players and Rowey is just starting to hit his straps," Robinson said.
"It's a good opportunity for young Blake Harper who has only come over to the club this year from Ariah Park.
"He's only 14 so it's a good bit of experience for him.
"I obviously want him to do well and be a regular, but that's probably more realistic in the coming years, so it will be a good experience for him to see how it all works."
Mattingly's only other match this season was against Wagga RSL, where he scored 54 runs and took one wicket.
Robinson expects Mattingly to bowl a few more overs this match.
Wagga RSL has made a number of changes for the match.
Tim Delaney and Dan Oakley will come in at the top of the order with Josh Staines and Nick Grant replacing Kris Bradbury and Sam Watt in the bowling attack.
