I am horribly overweight and I do not need anybody to tell me that.
My health is suffering, I am always short of breath and generally feel pretty awful most of the time.
I do not have the excuse of illness or the way overused "fat genes", I simply eat too much.
My parents were big eaters and overweight all their lives and as early as 10 years old I was always the chubby kid in the playground.
I am 35 now and sick of it. The problem is that I cannot stop eating.
I’ve tried every diet on the earth and last two or three days, then back to the food. Please help me. I feel hopeless.
I am sorry for your sadness. Parents have a lot to answer for when they teach their children terrible eating habits. We learn our worst habits at the knee of our parents.
Your problem is simply years of bad habit. The good news is that bad habits can be broken.
No, it isn’t easy changing eating habits, if it were there would be no overweight people and the diet and fitness gurus would have all gone broke.
In your case I suggest a counsellor. You need to grow your self esteem and believe in yourself. You cannot lose weight if you really don’t believe you can.
You are also going to need a support group ~ some people that believe in you and your cause. People that will encourage you and keep you on course.
I also suggest a trip to your doctor who should be able to put you in touch with a nutritionist and offer other sources of assistance.
So first step is your GP. Your health needs checking straight away and GP’s help with weight loss issues these days. Then perhaps the counsellor who will probably help you know when and how to get the relevant support groups around you.
At 35 you are young and have so much life ahead of you. Smile and keep focussed on the thinner you. You can do it! Take you time and enjoy the journey!
Merry Christmas
Just stop eating. What’s the issue? Naked picture on the fridge and cupboard door might help. Only you can stop eating.
