LIEUTENANT Commander Linton Lee watched on with pride as his 21-year-old son, Seaman ATA Corey Lee, followed his lead, graduating from the Wagga RAAF base on Monday.

Commander Linton, who has been in the navy for decades, said his son had a lot of military experiences growing up.
After completing 11 weeks naval training he just finished 18 months of technical training in Wagga, his achievement recognised in the Parading of the Colours ceremony.
"I'm very proud," Commander Lee said, humbling adding that he guessed his son had followed his lead.
"He will head to HMAS Albatross and receive training on the classic Seahawk," Commander Lee said.
He will eventually be part of the 816 squadron.
Wing Commander Chris Ellison said the 32 personnel trained to be 1/13 navy aircraft technicians, 1/14 navy avionics technician and 1/14 army avionics technicians.
"We have 32 graduates leaving us today who have been training for 18 months and 12 months," he said.
"The purpose (of the training) is to work on aircraft.
"We've equipped them with a very good ground training in aircraft maintenance."
The graduation parade coincided with the RAAF school of technical training's 62nd anniversary.
"It's a happy coincidence," Wing Commander Ellison said.
To mark the anniversary, the unit's Queen's Colour was paraded.
Wing Commander Ellison said the navy, RAAF and army personnel worked well together.
"The RAAF impart the air force but there is effort made not to trample on the customs traditions (of the navy and army)," he said.
"They wear their own uniform, but we have to integrate in the real world (so this is good training)."
The majority of graduates will go on to receive training at Oakey Army Base or HMAS Albatross.
