Three in particular stand out.
The first which shocked us all was the gutless attack on an elderly man in Sydney last week.
The 86-year-old was stalked and then punched from behind shortly after he had withdrawn cash from an ATM.
A group of cowards then stripped him before stealing his money and dignity.
Thankfully, a number of arrests have since been made.
Perhaps, somewhat disturbingly, it would appear that three of those charged are from Young.
Hopefully, if found guilty, this trio will face the full force of the law.
This ugly incident was captured on CCTV and then distributed around the nation for all to see.
The graphic nature of this crime is appalling to say the least.
The second incident involved the burning of the Australian flag by protesters outside the recent G20 summit in Brisbane.
This is a practice which just has to be stopped.
The flag represents the thousands of lives which have been lost fighting for this country.
For it to be treated in this way is nothing short of disgusting.
It's high time the authorities cracked down on these offenders and making the act a criminal offence would be an excellent place to start.
Finally, words can't describe the dumping of a new-born baby down a drain in Sydney this week.
It really does make you wonder just what sort of society have we become.
The less said about that, the better.
