A DRUG charge against Lockhart motocross star Jackson Strong still lingers in Wagga Local Court while police await the results of a drug analysis.
Strong, 22, is charged with possessing a prohibited drug (cocaine) and with resisting or hindering police.
He has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
It is alleged police found a small amount of cocaine - less than one gram - on Strong at the Wagga showground on May 9 and that he ran from officers.
The solicitor who mentioned the case on Strong's behalf in court on Wednesday, Tonya Longmore, told magistrate Michael Antrum a drug analysis certificate had not yet been issued.
The certificate is expected to form part of the prosecution's brief of evidence against Strong.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Priscilla Jones confirmed the certificate was still not to hand, but said all other material in the brief of evidence had been served on the defence.
Mr Antrum gave police more time finalise their case given the delay is out of their control.
Strong was not required to be in court on Wednesday for the fifth mention of the case since the matter first came to court on June 18.
Once the brief is complete a hearing date can be set.
A hearing is unlikely now before next April, nearly a year after Strong was charged.
