Ulonga Station, of the well-known One Tree Plain of song and verse, was put on the market by owners Ben and Cate Barlow.
The pair acquired the property in 2007 after previously buying Lara, to the north of Hay in 2002, and adjoining Tarana in 2006.
Ulonga Station is being sold as one, including Lara and Tarana, and is 31,267 hectares, a much smaller holding than it was when 120,000 hectares in the 1890s.
Mr Barlow preferred not to comment on the status of the sale yesterday.
Tenders closed on November 14 with the listing agents, Sydney-based Meares and Associates and Landmark Deniliquin.
Ulonga came with valuable water rights pertaining to the Lachlan and Murrumbidgee rivers.
It is situated 40km north-west of Hay and fronts the lower Lachlan River, with three five-stand, raised board shearing sheds, sheep and cattle yards, sleeping quarters for 14, sheds and silos.
Ulonga also has a 1930s seven-bedroom homestead with a large established garden.
