Neither club is yet to taste defeat this season, but the Cats have been forced to make four changes for the team that scored a big win over Lake Albert.
Centurion Aaron Maxwell is one of the big omissions, as is key fast bowler Dean Crane.
Wicketkeeper Rob Nicoll is also out, while young gun Jack Harper is another unavailable Cat.
With so many players unavailable, it has opened the door for Alex Coetzer to play his first game for Wagga City.
The former Bulldogs player will open the batting against his old team, while Ben Armour and Dom Alexander have been brought in to bolster the Cats bowling attack.
Brad Willis will take over the gloves from Nicoll.
With the changes, Wagga City captain-coach Jon Nicoll is looking for his players to step up and fill the void left by the missing quartet.
"Some other guys have to stand up and do good for us," he said.
"I think both sides are playing pretty well at the moment."
After his match-winning heroics in round one, Armour is the biggest inclusion, but Nicoll is expecting a tough day at the Wagga Cricket Ground.
Wagga RSL have beaten South Wagga and Lake Albert to start the season, although the Cats were much more convincing in their disposal of the Bulls.
"The weekend is going to be pretty tough with the unavailability, but we are looking forward to it," Nicoll said.
"It's another opportunity to win another game of cricket and we have to be our best - if we are not at our best we won't win."
Nicoll admitted the unavailabilities won't help his team, but it's something they will have to get used to for the first part of the season.
"They've got plenty of unavailabilities with a few of the boys with some stuff on, which makes it really hard," he said.
"It will test out our depth a bit more.
"We've just got to live with it and we will have a fair few unavailabilities before Christmas."
Meanwhile, Wagga RSL has made only the one change to its line up with Lucky Wijesuriya coming into the middle order for Gage Baxter.
