Thursday's flying visit to Wagga marked the second time Mr Llorens had travelled to the city since being appointed US consul-general last year.
He cited the diverse nature of the city's economy as providing great opportunities for businesses from his home country, and noted a number of ventures from the US were already tasting success in Wagga.
"You do have that investment and the people who are here seem to be doing well," he said.
"A lot of these companies are looking to expand their capacity."
Given the opportunities Wagga provides that Mr Llorens has identified - its strategic location, strong agricultural sector and its Charles Sturt University campus - he's keen to talk the city up to businesses back home.
"In the nature of my job, I deal with many US executives and they're always looking to invest," he said.
"The more I know about Wagga, I can point them your way where there may be some compatibility."
During his visit on Thursday, Mr Llorens met with Wagga mayor Rod Kendall to discuss local issues before heading to Charles Sturt University to tour the campus in the afternoon.
He plans to return to Wagga again next year, with the focus of that visit set to be on business and trade opportunities.
