Miss Wagga 2014 Jane Morton said entrants could expect to be nervous, but should try to stay calm at the announcement.
"Last year, I was terrified at the crowning," she said.
"There's really nothing to worry about just enjoy the night."
Miss Morton said she was "treated like royalty" on a trip to Leavenworth, Kansas in the US as part of her reign and the winners could expect an exciting year in 2015.
"We had a fantastic year," she said.
"We went to America.
"We were inundated with things to do.
"It was good fun.
"It puts you out of your comfort zone."
Miss Wagga committee member Fran Wooden said the entrants, Adrianna Lions, Sarah Moon, Angela Fisher, Brooke Brunskill, Nikita Barber and Carrie Cotterill, would be "put through their paces" on Friday morning in a last effort to make a claim for the titles.
"Five prominent people from Wagga are to judge," she said.
"Each girl will have 20 minutes to half an hour with the judges.
"It's like a job interview, basically.
"Miss Wagga, Miss Community Princess will be chosen (following the judging)."
The six entrants will attend a photo session on Saturday afternoon and then be chaperoned by the Wagga Wagga Veteran and Vintage Motor Club to the Civic Centre amphitheatre for the crowning at 6pm.
"The mayor will be there, (member for Wagga) Daryl Maguire and several representatives of the city," Mrs Wooden said.
"The general community is invited to attend and we encourage as many to get there as possible."
Beneficiaries of this year's quest include Ronald McDonald House, Forrest Community Services, The City of Wagga Eisteddfod Society, The Northcott Funding Committee and Yathong Lodge.
