THE murder case against Wagga man Harrison Geier and other members of the "Peru Six" appears to be heading back to square one after a Peruvian judge ordered the matter to be investigated further.

The group stands accused of murdering a doorman, Lino Rodriguez, at a hotel in Lima it was staying at in 2012.
They have steadfastly maintained their innocence and have been locked in a protracted legal battle with the Peruvian justice system and the family of Mr Rodriguez to clear their names.
Peru's Superior Court had been weighing up earlier this year whether to dismiss the case, send it to trial or to order further investigation.
The investigation will see key people and witnesses, whom the group claims have failed to appear in court when they have been subpoenaed, interviewed further and Mr Rodriguez's finances and psychological state in the lead-up to his death assessed.
The court conducting the investigation has been ordered by Peru's Third Superior Court to finalise it within 60 days.
