ORGANISERS of this Sunday's Walk to D'feet MND around Lake Albert are hoping for a roll-up of at least 200 people to help join the battle to fight Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Now in its second year in Wagga, there are hopes Sunday's walk will top the $25,000 raised for research into MND in Wagga at last year's edition.
In the lead-up to the event, more than $10,000 has already been donated online for the cause.
Local organiser Pat O'Hara said the primary focus of the even was to raise awareness about MND.
"By being aware, people are going to donate," she said.
MND's public profile has skyrocketed this year with the emergence of the popular ice bucket challenge, which has gone a long way to raising awareness of the disease.
"It's put it out there," Mrs O'Hara said.
"The main thing is it's raised money, so all these brilliant people around the world can work on (MND)."
The Walk to D'feet MND will kick off at 10am on Sunday at the Boat Club, with participants walking around the lake in a sea of blue shirts, which will be provided on the day.
Following the walk, a free sausage sizzle will be provided by South Wagga Rotary.
