Emergency services were called to the crash between a motorcycle and a panel van on the Kidman Way at Willbriggie, about 5km north of Darlington Point
The male rider was found dead when police arrived at the scene.
The male driver of the panel van wasn't injured, but was taken to Griffith Base Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Although he is yet to be formally identified, police say the rider is believed to be a 58-year-old man from Darlington Point.
Investigations are continuing and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
8.30am: A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle near Darlington Point on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to a stretch of road north of Darlington Point around 6.40am to reports of a motorcycle and car colliding.
"Emergency services were called to the Kidman Way, about five kilometres north of Darlington Point, to a two-vehicle collision," Griffith Local Area Command crime manager Paul Smith said.
"Unfortunately, one person was found to be deceased."
The deceased person has been confirmed as the male rider of the motorcycle.
The Kidman Way is closed between Darlington Point and Wilga Road, with local diversions established.
It is anticipated that the closure will be in place for some time as the police investigation continues.
