Deniliquin police crime manager Detective Inspector Peter Hayes said the 2004 Kenworth prime mover with two empty grain trainers attached was parked on Conargo Road early Monday morning after the local owner noticed an engine warning light come on.
He came back about 9am to find the rig had been stolen.
Although there was no grain in the trailers there were 12 new truck tyres worth $300 in one of the trailers.
The truck's registration is XXY182 and the registration of the trailers is 84708-S and 84709-S.
