On Monday, at least 800 exhibitors were making their final preparations at more than 1200 sites ahead of the gates at the 51st annual Henty Machinery Field Days being thrown back on Tuesday morning.
National Farmer's Federation drought taskforce chairman David Jochinke will officially open the not-for-profit field days - described as "an agribusiness supermarket" at 11am.
The winner of the Machine of the Year award will also be announced, after 15 entries were judged on Monday.
Field days media manager Kim Woods said because this year's event fell in the school holidays, a bumper crowd of between 60,000 and 70,000 was expected across the three days.
"We're fully booked this year, absolutely chockers," Mrs Woods said.
New to this year's field days is a free app - available on an iPhone, android, tablet, laptop or computer - that will allow visitors to navigate their way around the 105-hectare site with ease.
Mrs Woods said pre-registered tickets - another new feature - were "coming in thick and fast" and more than $100 million worth of machinery was on-site.
Also in its first year is the Agri-Centre that showcases innovative robotic technology, including solar-powered "The Ladybird", which carries out autonomous harvesting and weed removal.
"We're looking to the future; farming beyond the horizon," Mrs Woods said.
Sunny conditions are expected on Tuesday, with a forecast maximum temperature of about 24 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted cloudy conditions on Wednesday, with rain to develop late morning and possible thunderstorms forecast for parts of the Riverina.
The cloudy conditions are set to continue on Thursday, with rain and the chance of another storm.
Gates at the site - on Cookardinia Road, 8km east of Henty - open to the public from 8am to 5pm each day.
