MANGOPLAH-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes will go in as the underdog as it attempts to win its first under 17 premiership in a decade.
The Goannas went through the home and away season undefeated to claim the minor premiership before Wagga Tigers scored a comprehensive 47-point victory in the second semi-final.
MCUE now has to turn the tables but face a Tigers team that has only got stronger after their first grade team dropped out of the premiership race.
Talented teenagers Charlie Bance and Brady Morton will come into the Tigers team.
MCUE will lose Jock Cornell, Ethan Schiller and Paddy Griffin from the team that beat Turvey Park by 48 points in last Sunday's preliminary final.
MCUE under 17 coach Jeff Millar said it will take a disciplined team effort to reverse the second semi-final result.
"We're definitely capable but they've obviously got some good players coming back in," Millar said.
"We've got three out from the weekend and they've got two come back in so it's going to be a tough battle.
"We've just got to go in and play a lot more accountable style of football."
MCUE will look to key midfielders Jackson Sanbrook and Stu Carey for plenty of drive.
Apart from Bance and Morton, Tigers have good players in Dylan Morton and Jack McGowan through the midfield.
Millar explained there has not been that much between the two teams this year.
"We were undefeated up until the first final but Tigers have been on the improve all year," he said.
"We beat them by 70 points out at home, but then the second time we were probably lucky to win when we beat them by 12 points.
"They've slowly been pegging us back."
Millar has confidence his team has the ability to win.
"We've got to be accountable across the ground," he said.
"They were really good last time and we weren't accountable.
"It's got to be a team effort, that's the plan."
