A SENIOR premiership is special enough, but to achieve it alongside three of your brothers would be "icing on the cake" according to the Kennedy family.
James Kennedy will run out for Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka in Sunday's Riverina Football League (RFL) grand final flanked by younger brothers Daniel, Nick and Matt in a real family affair.
The Kennedy brothers are CAK's "awesome foursome" with each one of the four siblings having made their mark for the Demons throughout the year.
After two years at Hume League club Osborne, the temptation to return to Collingullie proved too much for James as he grabbed the opportunity with both hands to play in the Demons' team alongside his three brothers.
To make the season even more special, the Kennedy brothers will get the opportunity to run out on Narrandera Sportsground and experience a premiership together if CAK can overcome Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
"I wouldn't say it was the main reason I came back (to CAK) but you don't get many opportunities to play alongside your brothers," James said.
"It's been great to get the chance to play the four of us together, I've loved it.
"It's been pretty special just to play together but a premiership would be icing on the cake really."
James is the eldest son of Frank and Vicki Kennedy at 24 with Daniel 21, Nick 20 and Matt the youngest at 17.
It is a real family affair with even their sister Josie playing netball at the club.
Daniel said it was good to have James back at the club to get the opportunity to all play in the one team.
"It goes alright I suppose," Daniel said.
"It's fun playing with your brothers and good mates but it's something special with your brothers I suppose."
Daniel, a key part of the Demons' team on a half-back flank, is determined to win the premiership.
He has never experienced a senior premiership unlike James, who has Farrer and Hume League premierships under his belt.
"Even just to win one would be alright," Daniel said.
"To do it with your brothers would be icing on the cake."
The four have a lot of fun together on and off the paddock.
James described himself as the funniest, loudest and possibly most annoying out of the four, something backed up by Daniel.
James believes the Demons can breakthrough for an elusive RFL premiership on Sunday.
"It's a 50-50, I'm confident we can win but I'd say it's a 50-50," he said.
