The young ladies enjoyed an afternoon of competition, before they were presented to a large crowd made up of family, friends and sponsors.
Kate Mitchell, Meg Parsons, Lauren Kelly, Juleesa Smith, Emma Ball and Kaila Pelly, who was absent from the evening, are all in the running for the coveted title.
Event organiser Bronte Doughton praised the women, saying they each possessed the qualities to make them worthy of the title.
"The afternoon and evening has gone so well," Ms Doughton said.
"We have six wonderful entrants and evey one of them could be selected.
"It was so well attended and I want to thank the others for their support."
Councillor Yvonne Braid, Agricultural Societies Council honorary treasurer Geoff Bush and active member Heather Bush were on the judging panel.
Mr Bush complimented the contestants, remarking on their poise, intelligence and knowledge.
He said the line-up was the finest he had ever seen.
"This competition is about rural and regional girls representing the interests of their profession and supporting rural interests," Mr Bush said.
"The outstanding presentation of all these young ladies is a great credit to them and the competition."
Wagga Show Society Inc. president Brett Grant gave credit to Ms Doughton and co-organiser Prue Capp.
"I am very encouraged (about) the future of this competition and the Wagga Show in particular," Mr Grant said.
"We have a group of younger members who have arranged a wonderful event, to Bronte Doughton and Prue Capp, our special thanks."
The winner will be announced at the official opening of the 150th Wagga Show on Friday, October 2.
The winner will receive her sash and be recognised by Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove.
