WEST Wyalong has the chance to claim the biggest prize in Country Rugby League, but the focus won't be on winning the Clayton Cup come Sunday.
Undefeated through 16 rounds and one semi-final this year, the Mallee Men are one of two clubs still in contention for the prestigious trophy.
Group Four club North Tamworth is the box seat to take out the honour with their percentage far superior to West Wyalong's.
Both teams will play in grand finals on Sunday, but coach Rohan Loudon is more concerned with shutting down Griffith Waratah Tigers.
"I think the boys from Tamworth will get that one, but that's out of our control anyway," he said.
"All we have to do is try and win.
"That's the goal for us and hopefully everyone is fresh enough to do that on Sunday."
Yenda were the last Group 20 club to go through the season undefeated, which saw them win the Clayton Cup in 2009.
The Waratahs have gone the closest to getting the better of West Wyalong this year, falling by two points at Ron Crowe Oval a month ago.
They've stuck a rich vein of form in the last two weeks, defeating Darlington Point-Coleambally in the minor semi-final by 32 points before blowing away defending premier Tullibigeal-Lakes United by 24 points in the preliminary final.
"They are going really well and are good all over the park and have blokes who can score tries from anywhere," Loudon said.
"They have a pretty good side so we need to shut the offloads.
"That's the biggest thing and we need to work hard on getting the third man in so they can't get a roll on as they've got a couple of big front rowers and some clever back rowers."
It's not just the forwards to watch out for with Johnny Teleaga, Shorne Ngu and Kose Lelei the three in the Waratahs' back line Loudon picked out to try and contain.
They've had to come into the grand final the hard way, playing three semi-finals, while West Wyalong have only played once game in five weeks.
Match fitness may be a concern, but with reserve grade in the same situation, Loudon is banking on doing enough opposed work at training.
"We are looking forward to playing as we haven't played much so it should be good to have a game," Loudon said.
"We should have a full squad which is good as its given everyone time to get over injuries and we've been lucky as we've played ressies in a couple of trials in the weeks off so we have hopefully been going enough to be game fit."
In a big day for the club, its reserve grade team also goes into the grand final undefeated.
A remarkable effort to have both senior teams undefeated, Loudon predicted it would be a big night following the grand final regardless of the results.
West Wyalong's league tag team are also looking its defend its title, taking on five-time winners Leeton.
