A MAN accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Wagga did not enter a plea when he faced court for the first time on Wednesday.
It is alleged the 25-year-old had sexual intercourse with a 26-year-old woman without her consent between 12.20am and 3.30am on July 20.
Police allege the man approached the woman at a party in Ashmont and after that they walked outside.
Police claim the woman was attacked in a nearby yard before she was dragged through a number of streets, forced into a car and attacked again.
According to police, the woman was able to escape the vehicle and run to her sister's house from where police were called.
The man was arrested on August 6 and charged with aggravated sexual assault (deprive liberty).
The case will return to Wagga Local Court on November 12 for the man's solicitor to reply to the prosecution's brief of evidence.
