The company has confirmed it was moving into the Riverina Plaza building on Berry Street.

The space has been let by Knight Frank.

"The site was previously the home of Joyce Mayne, which closed on June 30 last year, so it's good news for Wagga to have a replacement national tenant," Knight Frank's principal of sales, leasing and management Jill Toohey said.

Lincraft has leased a large space of about 1385 square metres and will trade alongside international supermarket chain Aldi.

A shop fit out is currently under way, with a team of electricians and painters working on the site on Tuesday.

Lincraft has its origins as a fabric stall in Melbourne in the 1950s but took its current form in 2005 when bought by John Maguire and Brian Swersky.

The retail chain now has 67 stores in Australia and three outlets in New Zealand.

Marketing manager Jeff Croft said the Wagga store would open on November 10 in time for the Christmas retail rush.

"We will hit town at the best time of the year," Mr Croft said.

The new store will create 13 full-time, part-time and casual jobs.

Its product line includes fabric and patterns, knitting yarn and crochet, craft, curtains, haberdashery, gift cards, sewing machines and overlockers.
