SPEED was the key for Marrar, as it kept its season alive with a 68-point win over Coleambally at Maher Oval.
Coming through a nail biting elimination final against North Wagga last weekend, the Bombers went on the attack early, setting up their winning advantage in the first quarter.
Leading by 32 points at quarter time, Marrar didn't take its foot off the pedal scoring a 19.10 (124) to 9.2 (56) win over the Blues.
The Bombers moved easily through the midfield, setting up opportunity after opportunity and kicked the first six goals of the match.
On the other hand, the Blues struggled to get the ball past the centre and on the rare occasions it did, finding forwards with clean ball proved difficult.
Marrar found plenty of space on the wider spaces of Maher Oval, kicking another five majors to lead by 51 points at the main break.
The scoring slowed in the third with both teams kicking two goals before a free-flowing final term where 10 goals kicked where kicked.
With the do-or-die final providing plenty of motivation, Marrar coach Clint Taylor was thrilled with how his team switched on at the start of the game.
"We were really stoked they way we came out in the first half, we played some excellent footy," he said.
"We knew if we could get a really good start on a hot day and the big ground it might upset some of their bigger guys.
With the Bombers quicker guys finding inroads through the midfield, forward Graeme Reid capitalised.
He booted five goals in the first half and another two in the last term.
Making his return, Nathan Smith dominated in the ruck with Shannon Williams impressing in a ruck roving role.
With a preliminary final clash against Temora on Saturday, the Bombers faired reasonably well on the injury front.
Brad Turner didn't return after coming off minutes into the final term with a thumb injury while Andrew Roberts didn't play in the second half after receiving a head knock.
Both are expected to be fit to play.
