Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes junior Col Sanbrook has been rewarded for an outstanding return to the Goannas by being crowned Riverina Football League's inaugural Player of the Year.

A woman already banned from driving until 2027 has pleaded guilty to getting behind the wheel five times in less than three weeks. The 23-year-old mother of three lodged the pleas through solicitor Robert Hussey in Wagga Local Court earlier today, also pleading guilty to one count of supplying amphetamine, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and two charges related to a defective car. An instructor at a shooting range in Arizona has died after a nine-year-old girl accidentally shot him in the head with an Uzi sub-machinegun he was showing her how to use, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said. He was standing next to the girl, instructing her how to use the Uzi, when she pulled the gun's trigger and the recoil sent the weapon over her head, causing him to be shot, the sheriff's office said.
