Wagga City Council has accepted a Schneider Electric Buildings Australia Pty Ltd proposal to design and construct a CCTV network in the city's CBD.
The $1,005,623 deal is subject to the successful negotiations of contract liability issues.
The decision was made during closed-door discussions at Monday night's ordinary meeting.
Council will also create a reserve for the ongoing maintenance and renewal of the CCTV network.
The reserve will be funded from savings from the design and construction project and an annual reallocation of $10,000 from the Information Services hardware purchase budget.
More to come.
