Ganmain has kicked off the spring show season in the Riverina and is inviting spectators to come and experience the best of what our region has to offer.
The 106th annual Ganmain Show opens its doors to visitors from 9am today, with a variety of lifestyle stores, agricultural exhibitions and entertainment items to generate the bush show experience.
This year, the Ganmain Show Society promises to amuse showgoers with livestock pavilions, the equestrian arena and the age-old show favourites of the sideshow alley, magic shows, competitions and showbags.
Hugh McDonald, from the 1980s band Redgum, headlines the musical entertainment, with years of experience in Irish song, dance tunes, jazz standards and Australian folk music.
The show will also host the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Rural Achievers, a group of young people recognised for their commitment to rural communities.
The show is on at the Ganmain Showground - about 55 kilometres north-west of Wagga - until 6.30pm tonight.
