Wagga's iconic Hampden Bridge was blown up as the long-awaited "planned collapse" finally happened. One of the biggest matters to come before Wagga City Council in recent years, the bridge's demolition marks the end of years of discussions, planning and decision-making that has divided the community. Wagga hydrotherapy pool campaigner Karenne Connors has taken her fight to save the facility about as high as she can go - to NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner.
