POWERFUL number eight Jake Eaglesham may have played his last game for Waratahs, but is waiting for a second medical opinion.
The Scotsman has carried a knee injury since representing Southern Inland earlier this season, but as the season's crunch time has come its only gotten worse.
After getting MRI scans of his injured knee and problem foot late last week, Eaglesham was in a moon boot on the sidelines during the Waratahs' major semi-final loss to Griffith on Saturday.
He's hesitant to call an end on his short career in Wagga just yet, however the initial reaction wasn't good.
Coach Hugh Palmer is preparing to be without the damaging ball-runner for the rest of the season, but Eaglesham is waiting to hear from a specialist today.
"I've got to see the specialist (today) and that should be the last piece of the puzzle," Eaglesham said.
"It's just a precautionary thing and he'll tell me what's what as the doctor said to see him for some piece of mind."
Eaglesham hasn't had much luck with injury, missing the end of the Waratahs season with an eye problem, and the injury curse appears to have striked again.
"It happened to me last year as well when I busted my eye, so it's a bit of heartbreak for me," he said.
"Fingers crossed it's alright, but I don't seem to have much luck at this time of season."
With his visa running out, the game against Ag College before the finals could have been Eaglesham's last game for the club.
