After a week of sniping between the two clubs, Matthews yesterday revealed Temora would not proceed with action against any Tumbarumba players
"I've spoken to Chris (Rhynehart) at Tumbarumba and put our feelings," Matthews said yesterday.
"We're happy to move on."
Coming amid the war of words that developed following Tumbarumba's 30-24 win over Temora last Sunday, Matthews's conciliatory approach is expected to ease simmering tensions between the clubs.
In the wake of the game, Temora and Tumbarumba traded accusations of on-field misconduct, including an alleged racial slur by a Dragons player on a Greens rival.
Matthews yesterday confirmed the allegation had been thoroughly investigated by Temora, and the club believed it was completely unsustainable.
"We are supporting the player 100 per cent," Matthews said.
Acting Group Nine operations manager Warren Barclay said yesterday he was unaware of the allegation, and no report had been lodged.
Significantly, Matthews yesterday shut the door on Temora attempting to cite Greens players for their actions in the game.
Matthews yesterday admitted the Dragons had "concerns over a few incidents" but would let the issues rest.
The Dragons secretary contacted Tumbarumba counterpart Chris Rhynehart this week to obtain a copy of the DVD of the game, which has not strengthened relations between the clubs.
For Temora, the loss to the Greens, and the subsequent fallout, is sure to galvanise the team for a massive home town effort against Young at Nixon Park on Sunday.
Temora has stumbled to ninth on the Group Nine table and will struggle to be competitive with the Cherrypickers.
Temora captain-coach Michael Henderson will play prop on Sunday, with Jacob Kite back at halfback.
Henderson shifted to a playmaking role in the backs against Tumbarumba, but will be in his specialist position this week.
The key for the Dragons on Sunday will need to be shutting down Young playmaker Luke Branighan, who was in superb touch as the Cherrypickers thrashed Junee last Saturday.
