The business unveiled a coffee cart out the front its Best Street cafe to alleviate congestion and improve the rate at which people can satisfy their caffeine cravings on Tuesday.

After four months of planning, the takeaway coffee cart imported from Italy will open on a trial basis from today for three hours from 7am to cater for the working crowd.

Blessed Bean owners Simone and Jason Dowding said people lined up out the doors waiting for their coffees daily and that the outside cart would address efficiency given the spacial restrictions inside.

Mr Dowding said the cart wouldn't hold any cash so people could either order their takeaway coffees using the 365cups app or by having the exact amount of money if they knew their order.

"Obviously we're still just trialling it. It's just really to set up the flow so people aren't waiting for their coffees," he said.

The couple have built up the business since they bought it three years ago to include a roasting house behind the cafe, as well as holding the bragging rights of runner-up at the Golden Bean Coffee Roasters competition of Australia this year.

They say business has boomed since claiming the title and the obvious solution of a second coffee machine inside wasn't ideal given the small space.

They've been planning the addition of a cart for four months.

The 15-amp machine manned by Mr Dowding in the initial stages will offer the same blends as inside, but people can continue to order the regular way if they prefer.

Mr Dowding estimated it would be trialled three days a week or until people were used to the idea.

He added a bonus was the portability of the cart given it could travel to markets and events.

The Blessed Bean serves between 400 and 500 coffees a day and goes through up to 100kg of coffee a week.
