COLEAMBALLY has begun its tough run into Farrer League finals by convincingly thrashing Northern Jets at Ardlethan on Saturday.
The Blues blew the home team off the park as they led by nine goals at half time and ran away to win 22.18 (150) to 10.14 (74).
Simon Mackie, Drew Kenna and Brayden Scarr all racked up four goals apiece during the demolition.
Winning coach Mitch Carroll was rapt with the result but admitted it still wasn't a four-quarter performance.
"We didn't finish the game as well as I'd like," Carroll said.
"Maybe because the game was already won, but we seemed to fade out in the last quarter a bit.
"But apart from that our tackling and physical pressure was good all day and we moved the ball a lot better.
"In the end we got the four points so I'm happy with that."
The game turned fiery at stages and Jets defender Jonathon Dawson was yellow carded twice by the umpire, allegedly for swearing.
"In the end we got the four points so I'm happy with that."

Coleambally will now focus on the remaining three games leading into finals.
The Blues have arguably the toughest run home in the competition as they face top-five contenders North Wagga, Marrar and East Wagga-Kooringal in consecutive weeks.
Carroll sat out Saturday's win with a groin strain but says it was a precautionary move to ensure he is fit to play the Saints this week.
"We have a couple of tough games coming up so hopefully we can get a few guys back and be full-strength heading into finals," he said.
Carroll, Carl Pound and Jay Pound are all expected to return from respective injuries this week as Coleambally hosts North Wagga.
The club will await results of scans to ruckman Aaron Hardie's shoulder after he picked up an injury on Saturday.
Hardie didn't return to the field in the last quarter but Carroll was unsure how serious the injury was.
