Part of the Angels for the Forgotten's winter appeal drive, the trivia night was taxing brains - all in the name of a good cause. Founder and president Melina Skidmore said Angels for the Forgotten helps vulnerable children, children in foster care and homeless families.
"When government funding doesn't cover something, we fill that gap," she said. "There's a lot of gaps to fill."
The Christmas in July night is one of the charities biggest fund-raisers for the year raising vital money for programs and help for those in foster care.
For some the help can be as simple as providing resources for school, which could make an incredible difference for children at school, while for homeless families it's the simple need to keep warm during the winter.
"Foster children deal with problems most children don't have to deal with ... and it's not as simple as moving a child," Ms Skidmore said.
"It impacts them throughout their life."
