The Lachlan Street outlet will close on August 3 with the loss of nine jobs - two full-time positions and seven casuals.
The closure is part of the winding down of DSG Holdings Australia, a company which operated a chain of 143 discount retail stores across Australia under the names of Sam's Warehouse and Crazy Clarks.
DSG went into voluntary receivership nearly a month ago.
Stores at Tumut, West Wyalong and Deniliquin have already closed.
Wagga's Sam's Warehouse has not been named for closure yet, but it will be shut unless bought before then.
Hay's deputy mayor Mick Ruttledge said the closure of Crazy Clark's would be sad for Hay.
"They brought a great service to Hay with the variety of products they sell," Councillor Ruttledge said.
He said he felt sorry for the staff who had lost their jobs.
"Jobs are scarce in Hay," Cr Ruttledge said.
A spokesman for KordaMentha, the accountancy firm given the job of administering DSG, appealed to shoppers to continue to buy from the Sam's Warehouse and Crazy Clarks still open.
"The money we receive from the stores that are still open will help the receivers pay entitlements to employees around the country," he said.
"They are owed about $10 million."
The future of Sam's Warehouse in Wagga a week-to-week proposition.
Every week, KordaMentha releases a list of stores that will close the following week.
Hay this week was on a list of 20 stores in NSW, Queensland and Victoria that will close on August 3.
Another list will be revealed late next week.
The spokesman said expressions of interest in buying remaining stores were being assessed.
