The Capitals Academy (2-17) provided one of the upsets of the women's South East Australian Basketball League season with a 69-61 victory against the Frankston Lady Blues at the Belconnen Basketball Stadium on Friday night.
Coddington had a huge game, shooting an impressive 9-14 from the field along with six steals on the defensive end, while Hurst made a massive impact coming off the bench.
The Opals and Canberra Capitals veteran is using a stint in the SEABL to stay in shape ahead of the women's world championships later this year.
Meanwhile, the Canberra Gunners' four-game winning streak came to an end after losing 110-79 to Frankston.
Import Garlon Green carried the scoring load with 30 points, but the Gunners struggled without promising point guard Tad Dufelmeier (US college) and Dan Jackson.
