About 400 people packed out Bolton Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon for the high-scoring affair between the Derby Dolls and the north-east Victorian team.
Though disappointed not to have won, Derby Doll Jess Mawson said the Wagga side had fought hard on Saturday.
"They beat us quite well, however, we did play exceptionally well," she said.
"We had some really good blocking and there was some really good strategy."
But despite the result, Ms Mawson was thrilled with the day, especially the large crowd in attendance.
"The Wagga crowd's always so good to us," she said.
"They're always really supportive and we're really lucky."
The Derby Dolls will now enjoy a short break ahead of their next bout in Canberra in October.
