8am: The Department of Primary Industries’ (DPI) latest NSW Seasonal Conditions Report has revealed that further rainfall is needed during July and August for winter crop growth, particularly for crops sown in the north of the state.
DPI Seasonal Conditions Coordinator Ian McGowen said that while early and mid-season winter crops are progressing well across the southern and central areas, rainfall is still needed across the State over the next two months for crop yields, particularly in northern NSW. FULL REPORT.
