Licking their grand-final wounds after the 10-point grand final loss isn't a priority for the Tigers, who will take a fresh approach to the match with five new additions to the team.
Kiwi recruits Matt Sauni, Rulon Nutira will play their first Group Nine matches, while rugby union recruits Luke Ebnetter and Jack Hassett will have to readjust to the different game style at the Tigers.
Scott Smart will step up from coaching the Tigers reserve grade team as hooker and former Junee front rower Tua Tulaga will come off the bench alongside Brett Eccleston who missed the Tigers' last pre-season match against Brothers.
As he continues to develop into the coaching role, 24-year-old Woo has preferred to focus on the club's new structures rather than what Albury will have to offer.
"We haven't been looking too far into Albury as a team, but more or less worrying about ourselves at this stage of the year," Woo said.
"We have been worrying about our own structures and concentrating on our own game during pre-season, but as the season unfolds we will definitely start to look at opposing teams.
"All the boys are really looking forward to starting off the competition and going to Albury is a good way to start.
"Albury are a quality team with a lot of good players, they are the premier and although we have a fair few new guys who didn't play in the grand final last year all the boys just can't wait to start playing footy."
The halves pairing of Ebnetter at five-eighth and halfback Chris Rose is a combination Woo expects to develop as the season continues in the wake of James Smart's departure from the club last season.
"Luke has a strong rugby union background playing up in Brisbane," Woo said.
"He has been quality since he has been with us and Chris Rose has played half before and is a local that has played first grade for plenty of years."
