The Boiled Lollies will travel to face an Albury outfit out to exact some payback after the walls of Murrayfield cracked for the first time in four seasons.
Albury see Murrayfield as being its fortress and before losing to CSU in round two the Steamers hadn't lost a game there since July 2011 when Ag College came home 17-14 victors.
Wagga City coach Michael Kanck realises their task got a lot bigger following the Steamers' first loss since the 2012 grand final but is happy with how his team is progressing.
"I don't think they will be happy, it's been a long time since they have lost at Murrayfield and I think they will be out for revenge on the weekend," Kanck said.
"I'm happy with our development and our set piece continues to work."
After falling to Albury's conquerers in the first round before putting a big win on the board against Leeton, Kanck is still trying to work out just how his team is travelling this season.
"It is hard to judge with a game like that as Leeton didn't travel with good numbers and this weekend will give a clear picture of where we stand in the competition," Kanck said.
Rhys Cummins impressed at fullback in the win over Leeton, combining well with Marhlon Norbury and Nat Shaw at the back and Kanck is looking to see how they respond when put under more pressure against the Steamers.
"I'm looking forward to seeing Rhys Cummins in fullback and we will see him under a bit more pressure which I know Albury will give," Kanck said.
"I'm really focused on making sure our back three work well together and are making good decisions.
"I'm also looking to James Blanchard to continue his good form which has been on display recently."
The Boiled Lollies wil unleash a different looking game plan against the Steamers as Kanck continues to modify patterns to better suit his players and is looking to try and control five-eighth Richard Manion.
