The annual Chariots for Charity event is on, and committee member Cliff Morris said the race is sure to impress the long weekend crowds.
"It's a great event," Mr Morris said.
This year money raised will go to the children's and maternity wards at Wagga Base Hospital.
Mr Morris said the cause was a worthy one that needed to be supported by the community.
"We just want to help out," he said.
"It's usually a pretty popular event and it seems to be getting bigger each year."
Excited for the event, Mr Morris said he enjoyed watching the teams fight it out.
"I just love the competition and the team rivalry," he said.
"We supply the chariots and every team dresses up, there will be some Greek costumes this year."
The race will kick off at 8am on Sunday, with Baylis Street closed to traffic until 1pm.
