COLLINGULLIE-Ashmont-Kapooka is set to welcome back up to five key players for the Anzac Day fixture with Wagga Tigers at Robertson Oval.
The Demons opened their season with a 41-point defeat to Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes, where a third quarter fade-out proved costly.
CAK, like the rest of the competition, will enjoy this weekend off with the Easter general bye before it reloads to take on Tigers on Anzac Day.
The Demons will welcome Daniel Frawley and Jed Hillman into the team for their first game for the club.
Talented big man Josh Meiselbach will be available for selection after starting in reserve grade, while Harry Perryman will be free of representative duties.
Chris Gow is also rated a 50-50 chance as he recovers from a shoulder problem, while Matt Beckmans is unavailable for the first month.
CAK coach Shane Lenon said the injection of players will prove handy on the big stage at Robertson Oval.
"I reckon we'll definitely get three back and it could possibly be five," Lenon said.
"It's the Anzac Day initiative with rugby league and I think it's fantastic that we're able to play on that day.
"It's pretty special to be a part of and it's something we're happy to be a part of.
"I think it's great and it's something different too which is good."
Lenon was disappointed to suffer his first loss to MCUE last weekend, but was happy with the signs from his young CAK team.
He is confident there is plenty to work with.
"I thought we showed enough," Lenon said.
"I thought we were pretty competitive up until half-time.
"The young blokes all did enough and will be better for the run.
"I think in the end there were plenty of positives to take out of the game."
As Wagga Tigers and CAK meet on Anzac Day, this year Griffith and Leeton-Whitton will also play on the special day at Exies Oval.
