Interestingly, more than 99 per cent of all rice grown in Australia comes from NSW, so it's fitting that the new varieties have been put to the test at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

His comments were made in the wake of reports the federal government was considering cuts to the ABC's budget, despite a pledge from Prime Minister Tony Abbott that there would be "no cuts to the ABC or SBS" the night before last year's federal election. bit.ly/1eBSGFE

Darren Little and Michelle McFeeter and their families will embark on their own search today.
Brent went missing while swimming in the Murrumbidgee River at Wagga's Wiradjuri Reserve on Friday night.
