The sale of the 21,008sqm building - which houses Prime7 and radio stations 2WG and 93.1 Star FM - is due to be completed in August.
The buyers are remaining tight-lipped about the acquisition so far, electing to remain anonymous at this stage and not disclosing their future plans for the site.
Prime7 has operated from the Lake Albert Road building for 50 years, starting out as RVN-2 on June 19, 1964.
RVN-2's first broadcast was of the Royal Australian Engineer's Band from the Kapooka Army Base playing the national anthem.
Prime Media Group chief executive Ian Audsley said the station had yet to finalise plans for where its Wagga-based operations would be relocated to.
"The building has served Prime Television well for many years, but it is now unsuited to modern television requirements," he said.
"We want our staff to enjoy the benefits of a more modern and productive facility and the search for new premises has already commenced."
When the sale of the building was announced last September, Prime7 confirmed it would continue to have a base of operations in Wagga, with its 14 staff members to move to a new location once the sale is finalised.
