Hello and welcome to a damp Sydney Sunday afternoon. Shane Brady with you for this crunch match between Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix.
The brooms are out at Allianx Stadium after some heavy downpours have left surface water around the field and it is still chucking it down.
The conditions might suit the Wellington boys more than Sydney who desperately need to win to hold their place in the top six.
The Phoenix are the Jeckyll and Hyde side of the A-League. After going winless for almost the first half of the season, they went an amazing eight match run in which they stunned the likes of the mighty Wanderers and Mariners at home and claimed other high-profile scalps such as Sydney FC, Adelaide and Melbourne Victory in that memorable 5-0 romp.
Steyn Heysegens was in thick of it all, scoring goals for fun but they've dried up since and the Nix have been on the other end of some hidings themselves, and are in danger of taking out the wooden spoon.
Who knows which Phoenix side will turn up today but the might need their Wellington boots with some talk the start may be delayed or the match even abandoned if it gets much worse. Watch this space.
As for Sydney, they have been consistently inconsistent but and the weather has robbed them of any home ground advantage you feel with the hardy few huddled under cover. They'll struggle to make themselves heard in this deluge. Here come the sides now.
Sydney are at full strength with Del Piero pulling the strings along with his foil Ali Abbas. The impressive Serb Milos Dimitrjevic gets a start in midfield with Matt Thompson moving to the bench.
Expect the stalwart Terry McFlynn to play a cameo in what could be one his last appearances for the Sky Blues.
