Hawks president Richie Robinson said the club had been waiting until the new committee was in place before making the call on who will lead the team next season.
Current coach Chris Jackson will serve out his three-year contract when this season ends but has indicated he will take on the job again if asked.
“We wanted to wait until we had the new committee, so they could make the decision,” Robinson said.
“We should make an announcement next week some time.”
If the club decides to re-sign Jackson he will become the fifth Farrer League coach to back up next season.
Jamie Grintell (Jets), Brett Garrett (CSU), Steve Barnes (North Wagga) and Mark Kruger (Temora) have all signed on for 2013.
Coleambally coach Andrew McGown said this week the Blues are waiting for the season to run out before sitting down to talk about his future.
“I’m not sure what I’ll be doing,” McGown said.
“I bought a business this time last year so I will have to see where I’m at with work and everything.”
The Blues will today host CSU in what will be Coleambally’s second last game of the season.
The Bushpigs will be playing for their season but McGown is hoping to rain on their finals parade.
“We need to play like we played against The Rock last week,” he said.
“I was happy with how we played last week.
“We started hitting targets and if we can keep up that same intensity we can beat CSU.”
Coleambally has been without Gerald Clear medallist and star ruckman Ryan Bull for much of the season with a niggling ankle and shoulder injury.
He is not expected to play today while Shane Pound will sit out after he suffered a bad gash to the top of his head last week.
