With 37 cowboys in action at the rodeo in the hills, around 800 enthusiasts converged on the event to have organisers thrilled with the response.
Rodeo official and competitor Tim Hammond yesterday revealed the profit for charity would be almost double on last year's figure.
Still recovering from the hectic day, Hammond yesterday described the rodeo as "outstanding".
"Absolutely," Hammond said.
"There were record entries - 37 competitors which was perfect - and we have pretty well doubled the donation to charity.
"We're looking at around the $4500 mark, but that's only a rough guess."
Hammond said plans were already in place to stage the Rosewood Rodeo in 2014.
"There's no firm date yet, but it will be around this time," he said.
For Hammond, the rodeo was a successful on either side of the arena fence.
Competing in the bareback division, Hammond came out on top, but came unstuck in the saddle bronc.
Matt Sheather, meantime, won the open bull ride, which was the main event, and Mark Edwards took out the open saddle bronco.
